Designed for ages 6-16

Teaching what schools don't,
in ways they can't.

A personal AI tutor that ignites curiosity and problem solving. Built for the children who will define the future.

Play video

In this age, school alone cannot prepare your child for the future by making them memorize an outdated curriculum in a one-size-fits-all classroom.

SO WE BUILT

A personal AI tutor that does the complete opposite of every other
AI on the planet,
it doesn't answer questions, it asks back, so kids think
on topics that matter for real life:

$ $ $
01

Personal Finance

Children learn the rules of the economic world they're already living in, before the world teaches them the hard way.

Critical Thinking
02

Critical Thinking

Children learn to ask why until they hit the real answer, then use it to actually solve the problem in front of them.

03

Popular Science

The questions children ask that schools never answer, answered rigorously, joyfully, with no dumbing down.

The principles
Sapiene stands for

Every session is built on a philosophy that the greatest teachers in history shared, and that most classrooms have forgotten.

Sapientia
I

"Why" first, "how" second

A child who understands why something matters will get to the how themselves. Sapiene never teaches how to calculate tax brackets before the student has felt why you can't just keep all the money.

II

Radical personalization

Every lesson adapts in real time. The tutor watches, listens, and adjusts, the way the best human tutor in the world would.

III

Real-life exemplification

Abstract ideas become concrete through examples drawn from the child's own world: their heroes, their questions, their life.

IV

Socratic dialogue

Sapiene doesn't lecture. Sapiene asks. The DARPA-tested Socratic method turns every session into a guided discovery, not a passive download.

V

Productive failure

Sapiene lets children sit with confusion just long enough that the answer, when it arrives, becomes unforgettable. Struggle is not a mistake. It is the mechanism.

2,000+ enlightened parents

Mia learning with Sapiene

She got the same question wrong three times in a row and I was ready to jump in and just tell her. Sapiene never got impatient. It just guided her in different ways until she got there herself. I don't think any Outschool tutor we had before has that kind of patience.

MIA'S MOTHER

This isn't an app. It's the teacher my child deserved all along and never had access to. Until now.

James's father
Julian learning with Sapiene

He hasn't asked to watch YouTube in three weeks. He asks to do Sapiene instead. I still can't believe that's real.

Julian's father

Worth ten times what they charge. The only educational investment I've made that I'd make again on day one.

Ethan's father

She doesn't just learn things now. She interrogates them. Last night she caught a logical fallacy in something I said. I was proud and humbled.

Emma's mother

My daughter asked me why money has value last week. I didn't know the answer. Now she could explain it to me.

Layla's mother

My neurodivergent son thrives here. The patience, the personalization, the total absence of judgment. It's transformed his relationship with learning.

Lucas's mother
Lucas learning with Sapiene

I homeschool because the system failed her. Sapiene is what I was trying to build myself but couldn't. It's exactly right.

Sofia's mother
Maya learning with Sapiene

The fact that she prefers Sapiene over her iPad games says it all. She's finally being challenged.

Who should
apply?

THE PARENT
Access is limited on purpose. We want to work with parents who refuse to leave education to chance, and who are willing to be early about it.
THE STUDENT
It doesn't matter how well your child is already doing at school. A curious mind and big ideas are enough for us.
THE PROCESS
We review every application one by one. Please apply thoughtfully. If you have an invite code, you can skip the queue.

Common
Questions

Sapiene is currently optimized for children aged 6-16.

Pricing depends on usage limits and ranges between $20 - $100 a month.

Yes. Sapiene can be tailored to match your child's specific educational needs and custom curriculum.

Never. Our Socratic method is built around questions, not answers. The tutor teaches children how to evaluate evidence, spot reasoning errors, and form their own conclusions. On contested topics, political, philosophical, religious, Sapiene presents multiple perspectives and asks the child to think, not agree.

Even the best tutor gets tired, has bad days, and goes home at 6pm. Sapiene doesn't. It has infinite patience, it's available at 2am, and it never just hands over the answer. It teaches your child to find it themselves.

Even 20 minutes of deep Socratic dialogue is more cognitively valuable than hours of passive content. Most families find 30 to 45 minutes a day is ideal. There's no minimum, and no maximum if your child gets hooked.

Parents looking to hand off their child's education entirely. Sapiene is not a substitute for your presence. It's an extension of it.
